Addiction Recovery
We provide a holistic approach to addiction recovery, working with you and your family to develop a plan for sobriety. Services offered for mental health and addictions include smoking cessation, alcohol abuse treatment and detox, and medication-assisted treatment for opiate addictions.
Meet our Team
EJ graduated from Idaho State University as a doctoral-prepared psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2018. He did his graduate project on the link between addiction and mental health disorders and loves working in addiction recovery.
He has worked for Primary Children's Medical Center and Health West and is excited to serve the Pocatello community at
Family Focus Mental Health.
Before working as a PMHNP, EJ worked for 8 years as a psychiatric floor nurse. He worked in mental health and addictions, children's psych, and adult psych floors in both Utah and Arizona, cementing his understanding of psychiatric conditions.
He is a loving husband, a father of four, and his favorite pastimes include Alaska, a boat, and large fish.
Meet Our Team
Cinder is a two-year-old silver labrador. She became a certified therapy dog in 2024 with an AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen certification. She loves people and is especially good with kids. She is available on request for any patients in need of unconditional love and warm snuggles.

Meet Our Team
Like our name implies, we are a family-oriented business. EJ's wife Amber is our office manager. She has a bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in healthcare marketing. She is a wife, mother of four, and spends her spare time either outside with the chickens or inside with a good book.
